Silver and Begonias

I enjoy setting up still lifes in my studio that have simple color and simple design harmony. In this piece, I wanted to use a few items to lead your eye around the painting. The vines as well as the flowers lead the viewer around and back again. The silver pot is a resting place for the eye. The cloth catches the light in the foreground and then melts into shadow areas of other vases and flowers. The goal was to paint the entire painting with one pass, or " alla prima " , or a fancy name for getting it right the first time. Let me know what you think.
