A Day in the Life of an Artist

Day 2 - #30paintingsin30days

"Sketch of Abby"

Today is Day 2 of the #30paintingsin30days.  Along with many artists in 28 countries, the challenge is to paint 30 paintings in 30 days for September.  The theme of my challenge is “Thirty Things You Didn’t Know About the Artist”.

Todays painting is a portrait sketch I began before creating the formal portrait of  "Abby", for the Portrait of a Soul organization. From my first painting lesson at the age of 7 to the present, painting for the Portraits of a Soul organization has been the most rewarding endeavor to date.  I feel very blessed to be chosen as an artist for this great cause!

Would love to know your thoughts.  Comments are welcomed below or here!

All the best,

Deborah

It was good to see you again, Deborah. I have always admired your portraits but really like your picture of the bridge yesterday!

Nancy,

It was wonderful to see you but so so sorry about the reason we were there. That was so so sad and I am praying for the Wolfedens.

thank so much for the comments you had about my current postings of my 30/30.
I think I may overwhelm all on my mailing list so I will only post a few a week instead of EVERY day for 30 days!

thanks too for the comments on my bridge painting.

I hope you and Bob are doing well and hope to see you again soon!
all the best,
Deborah Ridgley
