In this original oil painting, I wanted to paint the model with the light behind the face and concentrate on the shadows that were hitting the face. I was also attracted to the sunlight that was hitting the back of the head as well as the flower in her hair. This painting was painted on linen. Currently in private collection, this painting won the Second Place Honorable Mention Award from the Womans Art Club of Cincinnati Signature Member Exhibit .
